The RNC's independent arm is going off the air in Wisconsin and Maine and is preparing to buy ads in Colorado and Missouri, another sign of the demand that Republican's defend red states.The party had been up in Colorado earlier this year but this is their first time going on the air in Missouri, a state widely seen as favoring McCain.A GOP strategist familiar with the party's ad strategy said they would remain on TV in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, North Carolina and Indiana, meaning that they are airing ads in just one blue state.And public polls in that state, Pennsylvania, show Obama enjoying a double-digit lead.The strategist emphasized, though, that the committee is still committed to McCain, noting that the buys over the next two weeks would be more than twice as large as they've previously spent on the air.
